Lip augmentation is done by small infiltrations of hyaluronic acid in the area to be treated, thus increasing the volume, labial projection, definition of the cupids bow, the elevation of the corners of the mouth that are slightly dropped, and improving the labial quality and hydration. The effect is totally natural and inmediate.
30 – 45 min approximately.
It is totally tolerable. A local anesthetic cream is applied before the treatment.
The result is visible immediately after the application and improves over the following days.
Between 6 to 12 months, however this can vary depending on the absorption capacity of each patient’s organism.
The side effects are those related to infiltration, which may cause slight discomfort or pain, inflammation, small hematomas which will only last a few days.
Avoid alcohol, physical exercise, saunas and swimming pools for 24 h. Avoid sun and UVA rays if there are bruises, until these have completely resolved. Thrombocid or arnica can be applied for bruises. Cremes with a sun protection factor.
