The treatment for the gingival smile is done by applying a neuromodulator medicine, which allows to block the muscles provoking the upper lip to lift excessively and revealing a great part of the gum. Another alternative is the infiltration of Hyaluronic Acid on specific spots.

The effect usually lasts between 4 to 6 months. While it reaches its peak after one month, the musculature recovers progressively its movement and strength. It is recommended to carry out the treatment two times a year.
The secondary effects are those related to punctures, which is why small hematomas may appear, which will only last a few days.
Do not lie down during 4 hours. Avoid facial massages, physical exercice, saunas and swimming pools during 24 h.
